A Blind Cyclist’s Superpower
If you can’t see, what does that mean you can’t do?
If your answer was “mountain biking,” then this video about Brian Bushway is one you should watch. If you answered anything else, you should still watch this video. Along the way, you’ll learn the term, “echolocation,” which is a cool word to know.
It’s tempting to call Brian’s use of echolocation a “superpower,” and maybe it is. Perhaps a superpower is simply something we decide we’ll do, not just to the point where we can, but to the point where we’re amazingly good at it.
That is, your superpower can be something that you want to learn to do, but you also know that to reach the level you want, it may take years.
What “superpower” that you can learn to do would you like to have? Speak another language? Make cool videos? Bring sick animals back to health?
If you haven’t already started to learn to do it, are you willing to start now?
