Enjoying a Challenge
When was the last time you brought joy to someone else? When it happened, were you doing it on your own, or with the help of one or more other people?
There is a lot of negative around us every day. There are horrible stories in the news, politicians who make you angry, and people who are just plain mean.
When you want to get in touch with your own possibilities, though, seeing what’s possible when you work with others to bring joy can be much more powerful. In this video from the group Life Rolls On, keep an eye on both the people who the camera focuses on, and also those all around that person.
What if the challenge for you is a simple one? Try talking with a friend about something you could do together that would bring joy to someone else. Would it be bringing some flowers to the folks who serve lunch in the cafeteria? Arranging for a class to surprise someone by bursting into song on cue? (Check with your teacher on that one.) What might you do together?
For many of us, the challenge is not to be defined by just the things we have to do each day, and rather, making time to do what puts us in touch with our own possibilities, and in turn, the very best parts of ourselves.
