Taking Flight
Some things just seem out of reach to us. Perhaps you would like to become a professional athlete, or a famous singer.
As someone once said, though, things are impossible until they’re not.
For Mr Xu, a farmer in China, the dream was to become a pilot, but it seems he didn’t have the resources or channels to go to flight school.
So he took matters into his own hands.
Think about what people you know hope for, or perhaps something you yourself want to do. Perhaps there are barriers that seem insurmountable. Can you think of a clever way to make it happen?
What personal qualities does Mr Xu have that you admire?
(Note: When people in Chinese introduce themselves, traditionally, they give their family names first.)
