Living the Long Game
Have you ever heard someone talk about “playing the long game?” In essence, it’s about long-term thinking, and what one can accomplish with a clear goal in mind.
This story is about an Indonesian man who has been described as an “eco-warrior.”
In the video, one resident in the area where Sadiman lives says that some people called him a madman. What reason did he give, and why would the locals think that way?
Have you known people who worked hard at something, even though others ridiculed the work they were doing? What was the outcome?
Sometimes you have to believe in something that may be quite far in the future. Others may not understand, and you may need to be open to the possibility that you’re making a mistake. Still, if you know the work is meaningful, it’s probably worth trying.
